So many people want to get leaner and look good, but they also want to feel good. Unlike in bodybuilding, aesthetics are not the primary focus here at MovNat. But helping our students get healthier and feel really good through increased confidence and physical capability is one of our top priorities. And consequently, our method produces attractive physiques as a natural result of a balanced Natural Movement practice.
That’s why many of our students come from a more conventional fitness background. Like Chi Bang, who is not only a Level 2 MovNat Certified Trainer, he’s also a 3-time national all-natural bodybuilding champion, an IFPA and WBFF professional all-natural bodybuilder, and the 1st place winner for the “Masters” Men’s Physique in the 2018 WNBF NE Classic. Chi is also a 20+ year health and fitness industry veteran and the owner of Clientel3, a MovNat Licensed Facility in Boston.
Needless to say, Chi knows a lot about training and bodybuilding, in particular. But he made a transition into MovNat when he recognized some of the limitations of conventional fitness. For example, he realized that even when training with full range of motion and the “best practices” to ensure safety, most people find that bodybuilding leads to immobility (i.e. less range of motion).
We caught up with Chi for an interview earlier this year, where he and MovNat Master Instructor, Jerome Rattoni, talked about:
- How Natural Movement is the foundation of all other sports and physical activity
- The unique benefits of Natural Movement, specifically for people who train bodybuilding
- How to weave Natural Movement into a more traditional exercise program…without your clients even knowing it.

So, what do you think? Can MovNat and Bodybuilding co-exist?
