Dear MovNat Community,

Our mission, first and foremost, has always been about health: teaching folks how to move naturally, and sharing Natural Movement with others, so that we continue to move in ways that build health over our lifetimes.

As part of this mission, our staff at MovNat HQ and our instructors around the world are closely monitoring the situation regarding the novel coronavirus known as COVID-19.

Our top priority is preventing the transmission of the coronavirus among the students we serve, which is why we are closely following guidelines pertaining to group events in affected areas. Since we have events worldwide, we are handling each one on a case-by-case basis. We have already postponed two events, and we may postpone others.

If we decide to postpone an event due to health and safety considerations, all registered participants will be informed with as much notice as possible. But since this is a rapidly evolving situation, these decisions may need to be made at the last minute. If you have booked an event with us that requires commercial travel, we strongly recommend securing refundable ticket options and/or travel insurance.

Some of our upcoming events in affected areas may be rescheduled to later this year. If we reschedule, you will be informed immediately and your registration transferred to the new date. If you cannot attend the new, rescheduled date, we can postpone your attendance to any future event that you wish to attend.

If we decide to continue with an event as planned, but you feel uncomfortable traveling at this time, please notify us within 4 weeks of the event to have your attendance postponed to a future date.

And of course, if you find yourself developing symptoms of COVID-19 such as fever, shortness of breath, and coughing, please stay home and do not attend a MovNat event. We will happily postpone your attendance to a future event when you are again healthy and well.

A few other precautions we are taking include:

1. We are working with our event host facilities to ensure the space will be adequately disinfected prior to and throughout the event. Also, basic sanitation supplies will be on hand during our events.

2. We are asking all registered participants to stay home if they are not feeling well.

3. Any event attendee who is showing symptoms of COVID-19 will be asked to leave.

Please bear in mind that despite mixed messages in the media, most experts indicate the immediate health risk remains low in most of the world. Even still, here are some simple suggestions to help prevent the spread of viruses, courtesy of Heathcare.gov:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water,
  • Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze,
  • Stay home when you’re sick, and
  • See your doctor if you think you’re ill.

Thank you for your understanding as we work through this difficult situation. Please be assured we will continue to closely monitor future developments and will follow up if additional measures must be taken.

-The MovNat Team
